I love telling that story, but Frost is almost as far south in Minnesota as one can be, only six miles from the Iowa border. It was a great place to grow up, a vibrant community of three hundred souls, frequented by the surrounding farmers. Sadly, Frost, like so many other small towns in America, has seen most of its businesses close, the school consolidated with another, nearly deserted streets, and relegated to a bedroom community of less than two hundred.
Get to Know GayleOne of my favorite parts about my job is getting to travel all over Missouri, Iowa, and Minnesota to meet all of the historical buffs and share these stories. Visit the events page to see where I am headed next.
See All EventsI started writing "Bloody Bill Anderson" (with no intention to publish) as an escape from the pressures of being a Production Manager for a major manufacturing firm. Upper management demanded I get more out of the employees and the employees thought I was too demanding. For two hours each night my relaxation was to get into Bloody Bill's persona and kill both sides. After fifteen years my wife encouraged me to seek a publisher, to my surprise, among the obligatory rejections, was an offer to publish. When I received the first of my authors' copies I feared no one would like it, but after many rave reviews I began to think maybe I can do this (write).
